We Embarked on a Mission
Back in March, we decided to try something new. We set ourselves the task of creating weekly video content. And not just any content either – we wanted to help other brands with their own video marketing and prove just how accessible it really is.
After a fair bit of discussion about what exactly we could do, we settled on what is now known as Incite Bites. Each week, we would publish a video covering something in the video marketing stratosphere in the hope that we could shed a little light on it for fellow businesses. Since our very first video about marketing to goldfish, we’ve embraced any amount of topics, from what role animation can play, all the way up to where video can slot into your sales funnels.
It Has Been a Journey
Creating all of this highly-produced video content for ourselves was something that we’d never really done before, and so it’s been a real adventure since Day 1. From researching topics and writing scripts, to filming and editing the videos in a snazzy fashion, we’ve learned a lot, both in terms of information that we’ve picked up just from the pre-production work for these videos, and in working out exactly what it takes in order to put something like this together. It has become a well-oiled machine over the course of things, and seeing how it has all come together has been fantastic.
As With Any Learning Curve, There Have Been Mishaps Along the Way
We have created and published a lot of these videos since we started earlier in the year. In fact, the grand total for Incite Bites episodes now stands at 30 videos. That’s a LOT of scripts and recorded material, and as you can probably imagine, a lot of bloopers too.
During our time working on these videos and all the blog posts that go with them, we’ve often talked about the importance of allowing people to have a sneaky glimpse behind the scenes of your organisation. The great thing about working on videos like this is you quickly build up quite a significant bank of content to be able to do this.
As a way of celebrating this fantastic content milestone, we threw together all of our best bloopers so that you can get a look at some of what goes on when we’re working on these videos.
We’ve had a great time with Incite Bites, and will continue to do so in future. To us, it’s so important that people realise just how easy it can be to create and utilise video content, and this series has enabled us to do that.
Here’s to the next 30!
