Behind the Scenes: Ocean Breeze Grand Unveiling

Incite Video was invited to provide full event coverage for the Ocean Breeze Grand Unveiling, hosted by Sallaum Lines at the Port of Antwerp-Bruges.

The event celebrated the launch of the company’s newest vessel, Ocean Breeze, and welcomed several hundred guests from across the global automotive logistics industry.

From livestream production and drone filming to photography and a cinematic aftermovie, our brief was to capture every moment of this major international event.

The project began when a Sallaum Lines representative based in Switzerland discovered Incite Video while exploring our event coverage portfolio. Thanks to our proven track record filming large-scale corporate events, we were selected to document the unveiling of their newest vessel.

The production itself was truly international:

• Client contact based in Switzerland
• Production managed from Leicester, UK
• Event hosted in Antwerp, Belgium

Planning began in June 2024, allowing us to design the full production setup well ahead of the event.

A team of eight production specialists worked on the project, with seven crew members operating on location in Antwerp and remote production oversight from the UK.

The unveiling brought together several hundred guests from across Europe, Asia, Australia and the Middle East.

Our team captured the entire experience from guest arrivals through to the evening celebrations. Coverage included interviews with attendees, networking moments, drone footage of the vessel, and the main unveiling ceremony itself.

Alongside the video coverage, a dedicated photographer documented the event throughout the evening, from the arrival tour to the closing party. On top of this, each guest was also photographed in front of the event’s Wall of Fame, creating professional portraits as a memento of the event.

A key element of the production was a 90-minute multi-camera livestream covering the speeches, presentations and official ribbon-cutting ceremony.

To capture the energy of the event, we deployed a dynamic camera setup featuring four roaming cameras transmitting wirelessly and two fixed cameras covering the stage.

All feeds were controlled through a Blackmagic ATEM Extreme live production switcher, allowing seamless switching between cameras and presentation media.

The livestream was broadcast simultaneously across LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook and Instagram, allowing audiences around the world to watch the unveiling live.

One week before the event we were informed that there would be no reliable internet connection available on site, which was a big roadblock. At Incite Video, we believe that problem solving is part of the job, so to overcome this, we deployed a Starlink satellite internet system, which performed flawlessly during both rehearsal and the live event itself.

Drone coverage played an important role in capturing the scale of the vessel and the surrounding port environment.

Because the Port of Antwerp operates within controlled airspace, we worked closely with port authorities in advance to secure the necessary permissions and licensing to fly safely within the area.

This allowed us to capture cinematic aerial footage of the Ocean Breeze, as well as integrate live drone shots into the livestream itself.

The ceremony concluded with the official ribbon cutting, followed by a spectacular laser light show projected across the vessel, creating a dramatic centrepiece for the evening.

With cameras positioned both on the ground and in the air, we were able to capture the moment from multiple perspectives before the celebrations continued into the evening reception.

Following the event, our post-production team began work immediately.

Despite the scale of the production and the number of cameras involved, we delivered:

• Event photography within 24 hours
• A cinematic aftermovie within one week

The finished film provides Sallaum Lines with a powerful visual record of the launch and a shareable piece of content celebrating the event.
