Delivering a 90-Minute Multi-Camera Livestream for The Access Group
When The Access Group approached us to produce a 90-minute, multi-camera livestream for more than 1,500 PeopleHR customers, they wanted more than a simple online presentation. This was an opportunity to showcase their new PeopleHR Evo platform, highlight its latest features, and help their customers understand how the technology can genuinely strengthen day-to-day HR workflows. The brief was clear: create an engaging experience that would drive product adoption and deliver it entirely live, with no pre-recorded shortcuts.

The Challenge
While we’ve partnered with The Access Group for several years on a variety of pre-recorded projects, this was their first time involving us for a livestream. They had no in-house experience delivering an event of this scale and complexity, and needed absolute reliability for a large customer audience watching in real time.
The production required constant multi-stage switching, seamless transitions, live demonstrations, real-time graphics, and the technical capability to manage a full broadcast setup but without access to the equipment or expertise needed to execute it internally. They needed a team that could bring everything: the gear, the planning, the creative vision, and the calm, controlled delivery that only comes from experience.
The Goal
The objective behind the livestream was straightforward but ambitious: increase adoption of PeopleHR Evo by helping customers understand exactly how it can enrich their workflow. Rather than relying on pre-recorded snippets or static presentations, The Access Group wanted to show the platform in action, announce new features with energy and clarity, and give customers the chance to ask questions directly through a live Q&A.
For organisations rolling out new technology, effective communication is often the difference between user resistance and enthusiastic adoption. This livestream was designed to close that gap.
Our Approach
We approached the project with the same structure and precision as a live studio broadcast. Working alongside the product team and presenters, we held multiple planning sessions, ran technical tests, rehearsed live demos, and used an on-site setup day to fine-tune staging, camera positions, and audio. This preparation ensured that every presenter felt comfortable and every transition was carefully mapped out long before going live.

Three Custom Stages
Inside The Access Group’s head office, we built three fully independent sound stages, each serving a different purpose and all integrated into a single running order.
Setup A was the host stage, where the introduction, key announcements, and the closing statements were delivered directly to camera.
Setup B served as the live demo stage, allowing the presenter to walk audiences through PeopleHR Evo in real time. This is where the platform truly came to life, with on-screen demonstrations supported by clear, concise explanation.
Setup C was our fireside chat stage, designed for a more conversational tone. The host welcomed two customers for the first discussion, then after an impressively fast 18-second changeover — continued with a second customer for a follow-up conversation.
Switching between all three setups across the 90-minute show required precise timing, constant communication, and a technically skilled crew managing every camera, mic, and stage transition in real time.
The Production
The majority of livestreams we deliver typically run through social platforms such as Facebook or YouTube, but on this occasion The Access Group wanted the broadcast hosted directly inside Bizzabo. We ensured seamless integration of the stream within their bespoke event environment, enabling their team to manually control the live chat, manage audience interaction, and prepare for the Q&A. To guarantee a flawless experience, we also conducted a series of live tests in advance to validate stability, compatibility, and real-time performance.
Our five-person crew worked as a tightly coordinated unit throughout the broadcast. With six cameras positioned across the three stages, multiple wireless microphones, two laptops for demos and graphics, and a Blackmagic ATEM Extreme at the heart of the operation, we ran the livestream with the complexity and pace of a live television programme.
Behind the scenes, roles were clearly defined: camera operators also managed elements of audio, while our director controlled graphics, timing, and the live feed. Every sting, lower-third graphic, transition, and stage swap was handled in real time, with no margin for error. The result was a smooth, high-energy production that kept the audience engaged from start to finish.
The Livestream
Across 90 uninterrupted minutes, the event unfolded as a single, seamless experience. It opened with a live welcome before moving into an in-depth product demonstration. From there, the broadcast shifted into the first fireside chat with two customers, followed by the near-instant guest swap and a second conversation. Additional demonstrations showcased new features, leading into a live Q&A where customers could put questions directly to the PeopleHR design team. The session closed with a final address from the department head – all delivered live.

The Results
The Access Group were delighted with the outcome. The staging, multi-camera approach and real-time delivery kept attention high and gave presenters the confidence they needed to communicate clearly. Customers engaged actively in the live Q&A, and the entire show successfully highlighted the practical power and value of PeopleHR Evo.
After the broadcast, we provided a polished on-demand version of the event, including a newly recorded introduction after the department head wished to refine his delivery (something we were more than happy to deliver). Clean edits were delivered for internal use, and the on-demand version now serves as an ongoing resource for customers exploring the platform.
While we were on site, the team also used some of the staging to film additional internal conversations, which we edited and supplied later that same day, maximising the value of the setup.
